You don't have to be everything to be enough.
Hey girl. Yeah, you. I know you're tired, it's written in your eyes. What if I told you it didn't have to be this way?
What if you don't have to be everything to be enough? What if the scale by which you're measuring yourself isn't true? Well, how the hell would you ever know? You see everyone else making it. But are they making it up or actually making it through?
As you wake up and pour your coffee, do you dread the day? Do you feel like yourself? Do you even remember the last time you did feel like yourself? Who are you supposed to be anyway? Career woman, mom, athlete, socialite, cowgirl, fashionista. Whatever it is, you need to hustle for it, right?
Right?
What if you don't? What if you don't need to look picture-perfect everyday? Or your house isn't always aesthetic because you're renovating or there are tools and tack and work bag spilled all over the floor? Maybe your brows aren't done and you aren't tan and you've gained 15lbs without noticing. What are you even supposed to do about... all of this?
What if you don't actually have to answer the all-encompassing question of life - Who am I supposed to be?
What if you don't have to figure out your "purpose?" You might not need to even sit to ponder your "calling."
What if you could just rest in who you ARE.
And if you don't know who you are, please listen when I tell you.
Yes, me. I'm going to tell you. The girl who you've never met is going to tell you who you are. Because I know it for a fact.
You are a daughter of the most high God. He made you, and you will only find your purpose, your calling, and your "it" thing through Him.
He will restore you and He will give your soul rest. He tells us, "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."
So if you're doing it all, but you still feel not-enough, join me as we turn to Jesus. Ask Him to help you. Because you already are enough.
